Art on our walls
Our walls belong to South St. Louis artists. Shows rotate about once a month, and there’s no jury, no commission, and no fee — we just like having good work up while people drink their coffee.

Tim Bolt is a South St. Louis City watercolor artist who paints the buildings the rest of us walk past. He has shown at Hartford several times over the years, and the watercolor of our corner at the top of this page is his. Prints and greeting cards are available through his site.
Want to hang a show?
Email theguys@hartfordcoffee.com and tell us a little about your work. Here’s how it goes:
- You hang and remove your own work on our cable system — no nails, tacks, or adhesive on the walls.
- Frames aren’t required, as long as there’s a wire or hanging hardware on the back.
- No commission, no display fee. We don’t handle sales at all — print a short bio with your contact information to hang alongside the work, and bring cards if you’d like.
- Everything on the wall has to be child-friendly.
- Work stays up for about a month.
