Air roasting matters here more than anywhere else. Drum-roasted beans carry scorched, smoky, and bitter notes from how they were roasted — and most flavored coffees try to cover those flavors by piling on more flavor oil. That’s why so much flavored coffee tastes either artificial or muted.
Our beans don’t have that problem. Air roasting produces a clean, even roast with none of the bitter drum-roast baggage. Which means the flavor sits on top of the coffee, not in a fight with it. You taste the coffee. You taste the flavor. They work together.
